Talos — the bronze automaton of Greek myth, a recurring giant in classic Castlevania bestiaries — is evidenced in Belmont's Curse by the secret achievement "Talos Aversion", held by just 0.4% of players worldwide (Steam global stats, October 15, 2026 snapshot). The rarity places it in the hidden-encounter tier: something most players have not yet survived.

A 0.4% unlock rate this early after launch means Talos sits deep in the endgame map (provisionally mapped to the castle area) or behind an optional challenge. "Aversion" in the achievement name hints the fight may be avoidable — or that escaping it is the point. Detailed tactics are being documented as playthroughs arrive.

Talos is one of only three enemy types evidenced by name at launch (serpents, Talos, Succubus) — a benchmark for how much of the map the average hunter has actually seen.
